The attraction of Rezekne city is hidden not only in its tidiness and green ornament but also its culture historical inheritance. In spite of the fact that the World War II destroyed the biggest part of the historically remarkable and ancient buildings, many of them are sight worthy today.

The symbol of Rezekne, which is considered to be one of the greatest monumental sculpture examples in Latvia, is Latgale deliverance monument “United for Latvia” that is called Latgale’s Māra among the people.

Noteworthy is also Rezekne castle hill, Latgale Culture History Museum as well as the churches of different confessions that reveal the multinational content of the inhabitants and their belonging to the different religion confessions.

To relax from the everyday routine and to enjoy the magnificent nature is possible while maundering in the Rezekne Culture and Recreation Park where the songs of the birds refresh the heart and mind.
